20.86.فَرَجَعَ مُوسَى إِلَى قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفاً قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَمْ يَعِدْكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ وَعْداً حَسَناً أَفَطَالَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَهْدُ أَمْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن يَحِلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ غَضَبٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ فَأَخْلَفْتُم مَّوْعِدِي

20.86 . Then Moses went back unto his folk , angry and sad He said : O my people! Hath not your Lord promised you a fair promise? Did the time appointed then appear too long for you , or did ye wish that wrath from your Lord should come upon you , that ye broke tryst with me?

20.86. FarajaAAa moosa ila qawmihi ghadbana asifan qala ya qawmi alam yaAAidkum rabbukum waAAdan hasanan afatala AAalaykumu alAAahdu am aradtum an yahilla AAalaykum ghadabun min rabbikum faakhlaftum mawAAidee

20.86. " Y Moisés regresó a su pueblo, airado, dolido. Dijo: ""¡Pueblo! ¿No os había prometido vuestro Señor algo bello? ¿Es que la alianza os ha resultado demasiado larga o habéis querido que vuestro Señor se aíre con vosotros al faltar a lo que me habéis prometido?"" "

20.87.قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَا أَوْزَاراً مِّن زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا فَكَذَلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ

20.87 . They said : We broke not tryst with thee of our own will , but we were laden with burdens of ornaments of the folk , then cast them ( in the fire ) , for thus As-Samiri proposed

20.87. Qaloo ma akhlafna mawAAidaka bimalkina walakinna hummilna awzaran min zeenati alqawmi faqathafnaha fakathalika alqa alssamiriyyu

20.87. " Dijeron: ""No hemos faltado por propio impulso a lo que te habíamos prometido, sino que se nos obligó a cargar con las joyas del pueblo y las hemos arrojado. Y lo mismo hizo el samaritano"". "

20.88.فَأَخْرَجَ لَهُمْ عِجْلاً جَسَداً لَهُ خُوَارٌ فَقَالُوا هَذَا إِلَهُكُمْ وَإِلَهُ مُوسَى فَنَسِيَ

20.88 . Then he produced for them a calf , of saffron hue , which gave forth a lowing sound . And they cried : This is your God and the God of Moses , but he hath forgotten .

20.88. Faakhraja lahum AAijlan jasadan lahu khuwarun faqaloo hatha ilahukum wa-ilahu moosa fanasiya

20.88. " Éste les sacó un ternero, un cuerpo que mugía, y dijeron: ""Este es vuestro dios y el dios de Moisés. Pero ha olvidado"". "

20.89.أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَلَّا يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَوْلاً وَلَا يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ ضَرّاً وَلَا نَفْعاً

20.89 . See they not , then , that it returneth no saying unto them and possesseth for them neither hurt nor use?

20.89. Afala yarawna alla yarjiAAu ilayhim qawlan wala yamliku lahum darran wala nafAAan

20.89. ¿Es que no veían que no les daba ninguna contestación y no podía ni dañarles ni aprovecharles?

20.90.وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَارُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ فَاتَّبِعُونِي وَأَطِيعُوا أَمْرِي

20.90 . And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand : O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith , for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent , so follow me and obey my order .

20.90. Walaqad qala lahum haroonu min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wa-inna rabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree

20.90. " Ya antes les había dicho Aarón: ""¡Pueblo! Sólo se os ha tentado con él. Vuestro Señor es el Compasivo. ¡Seguidme, pues, y obedeced mis órdenes!"" "
