17.16.وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُواْ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيراً

17.16 . And when We would destroy a township We send commandment to its folk who live at ease , and afterward they commit abomination therein , and so the Word ( of doom ) hath effect for it , and We annihilate it with complete annihilation .

17.16. Wa-itha aradna an nuhlika qaryatan amarna mutrafeeha fafasaqoo feeha fahaqqa AAalayha alqawlu fadammarnaha tadmeeran

17.16. Cuando queremos destruir una ciudad, ordenamos a sus ricos y ellos se entregan en ella a la iniquidad. Entonces, la sentencia contra ella se cumple y la aniquilamos.

17.17.وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن بَعْدِ نُوحٍ وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرَاً بَصِيراً

17.17 . How many generations have we destroyed since Noah! And Allah sufficeth as knower and Beholder of the sins of His slaves .

17.17. Wakam ahlakna mina alqurooni min baAAdi noohin wakafa birabbika bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran baseeran

17.17. ¡A cuántas generaciones hemos hecho perecer después de Noé! Tu Señor está suficientemente informado de los pecados de Sus siervos, los ve suficiente mente.

17.18.مَّن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاء لِمَن نُّرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلاهَا مَذْمُوماً مَّدْحُوراً

17.18 . Whoso desireth that ( life ) which hasteneth away , We hasten for him therein that We will for whom We please . And afterward We have appointed for him hell ; he will endure the heat thereof , condemned , rejected .

17.18. Man kana yureedu alAAajilata AAajjalna lahu feeha ma nashao liman nureedu thumma jaAAalna lahu jahannama yaslaha mathmooman madhooran

17.18. Si alguien desea la vida fugaz, Nosotros nos apresuraremos a darle en ella lo que queremos -y a quien queremos. Luego, le destinamos la gehena, donde arderá denigrado, desechado.

17.19.وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الآخِرَةَ وَسَعَى لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُم مَّشْكُوراً

17.19 . And whoso desireth the Hereafter and striveth for it with the effort necessary , being a believer ; for such , their effort findeth favor ( with their Lord ) .

17.19. Waman arada al-akhirata wasaAAa laha saAAyaha wahuwa mu/minun faola-ika kana saAAyuhum mashkooran

17.19. Al creyente que desee la otra vida y se esfuerce por alcanzarla, se le reconocerá su esfuerzo.

17.20.كُلاًّ نُّمِدُّ هَـؤُلاء وَهَـؤُلاء مِنْ عَطَاء رَبِّكَ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاء رَبِّكَ مَحْظُوراً

17.20 . Each do We supply , both these and those , from the bounty of thy Lord . And the bounty of thy Lord can never be walled up .

17.20. Kullan numiddu haola-i wahaola-i min AAata-i rabbika wama kana AAatao rabbika mahthooran

17.20. A unos y a otros, a todos, les concederemos en abundancia de los dones de tu Señor. ¡Los dones de tu Señor no se niegan a nadie!
