96.1.اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ

96.1 . Read : In the name of thy Lord who createth ,

96.1. Iqra/ bi-ismi rabbika allathee khalaqa

96.1. ¡Recita en el nombre de tu Señor, Que ha creado,

96.2.خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ

96.2 . Createth man from a clot .

96.2. Khalaqa al-insana min AAalaqin

96.2. ha creado al hombre de sangre coagulada!

96.3.اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ

96.3 . Read : And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous ,

96.3. Iqra/ warabbuka al-akramu

96.3. ¡Recita! Tu Señor es el Munífico,

96.4.الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ

96.4 . Who teacheth by the pen ,

96.4. Allathee AAallama bialqalami

96.4. que ha enseñado el uso del cálamo,

96.5.عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ

96.5 . Teacheth man that which be knew not .

96.5. AAallama al-insana ma lam yaAAlam

96.5. ha enseñado al hombre lo que no sabía.
