40.21.أَوَ لَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَاراً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ

40.21 . Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who disbelieved before them? They were mightier than these in power and ( in the ) traces ( which they left behind them ) in the earth . Yet Allah sewed them for their sins , and they had no protector from Allah .

40.21. Awa lam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena kanoo min qablihim kanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharan fee al-ardi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim wama kana lahum mina Allahi min waqin

40.21. Pues, ¡qué! ¿No han ido por la tierra y mirado cómo terminaron sus antecesores? Eran más poderosos y dejaron más huellas en la tierra. Entonces, Alá les sorprendió por sus pecados y no hubo quien pudiera protegerles contra Alá.

40.22.ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَكَفَرُوا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

40.22 . That was because their messengers kept bringing them clear proofs ( of Allah ' s sovereignty ) but they disbelieved ; so Allah seized them . Lo! He is Strong , Severe in punishment .

40.22. Thalika bi-annahum kanat ta/teehim rusuluhum bialbayyinati fakafaroo faakhathahumu Allahu innahu qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqabi

40.22. Es que cuando los enviados vinieron a ellos con las pruebas claras, no creyeron y Alá les sorprendió. Es fuerte y castiga severamente.

40.23.وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ

40.23 . And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations and a clear warrant

40.23. Walaqad arsalna moosa bi-ayatina wasultanin mubeenin

40.23. Enviamos Moisés con Nuestros signos y con una autoridad manifiesta

40.24.إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ وَقَارُونَ فَقَالُوا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ

40.24 . Unto Pharaoh and Haman and Korah , but they said : A lying sorcerer!

40.24. Ila firAAawna wahamana waqaroona faqaloo sahirun kaththabun

40.24. " a Faraón, a Hamán y a Coré. Ellos dijeron: ""Un mago mentiroso"". "

40.25.فَلَمَّا جَاءهُم بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ عِندِنَا قَالُوا اقْتُلُوا أَبْنَاء الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ وَاسْتَحْيُوا نِسَاءهُمْ وَمَا كَيْدُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ

40.25 . And when he brought them the Truth from Our presence , they said : Slay the sons of those who believe with him , and spare their women . But the plot of disbelievers is in naught but error .

40.25. Falamma jaahum bialhaqqi min AAindina qaloo oqtuloo abnaa allatheena amanoo maAAahu waistahyoo nisaahum wama kaydu alkafireena illa fee dalalin

40.25. " Cuando les trajo la verdad de Nosotros, dijeron: ""¡Matad a los hijos varones de los que creen como él y dejad con vida a sus mujeres!"" Pero la artimaña de los infieles fue inútil. "
