2.141.تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ وَلاَ تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ

2.141 . Those are a people who have passed away ; theirs is that which they earned and yours that which ye earn . And ye will not be asked of what they used to do .

2.141. Tilka ommatun qad khalat laha ma kasabat walakum ma kasabtum wala tus-aloona AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona

2.141. Ésa es una comunidad ya desaparecida. Ha recibido lo que merecía como vosotros recibiréis lo que merezcáis. No tendréis que responder de lo que ellos hacían.

2.142.سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاء مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلاَّهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُواْ عَلَيْهَا قُل لِّلّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

2.142 . The foolish of the people will say : What hath turned them from the qiblah which they formerly observed? Say : Unto Allah belong the East and the West . He guideth whom He will unto a straight path .

2.142. Sayaqoolu alssufahao mina alnnasi ma wallahum AAan qiblatihimu allatee kanoo AAalayha qul lillahi almashriqu waalmaghribu yahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin

2.142. " Los necios de entre los hombres dirán: ""Qué es lo que les ha inducido a abandonar la alquibla hacia la que se orientaban?"" Di: ""De Alá son el Oriente y el Occidente. Dirige a quien Él quiere a una vía recta"". "

2.143.وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطاً لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاء عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيداً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

2.143 . Thus We have appointed you a middle nation , that ye may be witnesses against mankind . and that the messenger may be a witness against you . And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger , from him who turneth on his heels . In truth it was a hard ( test ) save for those whom Allah guided . But it was not Allah ' s purpose that your faith should be in vain , for Allah is full of pity , Merciful toward mankind .

2.143. Wakathalika jaAAalnakum ommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasi wayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wama jaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illa linaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAala AAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAala allatheena hada Allahu wama kana Allahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun

2.143. Hemos hecho así de vosotros un comunidad moderada, para que seáis testigos de los hombres y para que el Enviado sea testigo de vosotros. No pusimos la alquibla hacia la que antes te orientabas sino para distinguir a quien seguía al Enviado de quien le daba la espalda. Ciertamente, es cosa grave, pero no para aquéllos a quienes Alá dirige. Alá no va a dejar que se pierda vuestra fe. Alá es manso para con los hombres, misericordioso.

2.144.قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاء فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوِهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

2.144 . We have seen the turning of thy face to heaven ( for guidance , O Muhammad ) . And now verily We shall make thee turn ( in prayer ) toward a qiblah which is dear to thee . So turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship , and ye ( O Muslims ) , wheresoever ye may be , turn your faces when ye pray ) toward it . Lo! those who have received the Scripture know that ( this Revelation ) is the Truth from their Lord . And Allah is not unaware of what they do .

2.144. Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee alssama-i falanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu ma kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wa-inna allatheena ootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma yaAAmaloona

2.144. Vemos cómo vuelves tu rostro al cielo. Haremos, pues, que te vuelvas hacia una dirección que te satisfaga. Vuelve tu rostro hacia la Mezquita Sagrada. Dondequiera que estéis, volved vuestro rostro hacia ella. Aquéllos que han recibido la Escritura saben bien que es la Verdad que viene de su Señor. Alá está atento a lo que hacen.

2.145.وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذَاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

2.145 . And even if thou broughtest unto those who have received the Scripture all kinds of portents , they would not follow thy qiblah , nor canst thou be a follower of their qiblah ; nor are some of them followers of the qiblah of others . And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee , then surely wert thou of the evil doers .

2.145. Wala-in atayta allatheena ootoo alkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAoo qiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wama baAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdin wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaaka mina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena

2.145. Aun si aportas toda clase de signos a quienes han recibido la Escritura., no siguen tu alquibla, ni tú debes seguir la suya, ni siguen unos la alquibla de otros. Y, si sigues sus pasiones, después de haber sabido tú lo que has sabido, entonces, serás de los impíos.
