8.16.وَمَن يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُ إِلاَّ مُتَحَرِّفاً لِّقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزاً إِلَى فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَاء بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

8.16 . Whoso on that day turneth his back to them , unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company , he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah , and his habitation will be hell , a hapless journey ' s end .

8.16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru

8.16. Quien ese día les vuelva la espalda -a menos que sea que se destaque para acudir a otro combate o para incorporarse a otra tropa- incurrirá en la ira de Alá y tendrá la gehena por morada. ¡Qué mal fin...!

8.17.فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ رَمَى وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلاء حَسَناً إِنَّ اللّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

8.17 . Ye ( Muslims ) slew them not , but Allah slew them . And thou ( Muhammad ) threwest not when thou didst throw , but Allah threw , that He might test the believers by a fair test from Him . Lo! Allah is Hearer , Knower .

8.17. Falam taqtuloohum walakinna Allaha qatalahum wama ramayta ith ramayta walakinna Allaha rama waliyubliya almu/mineena minhu balaan hasanan inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun

8.17. No erais vosotros quienes les mataban, era Alá Quien les mataba. Cuando tirabas, no eras tú quien tiraba, era Alá Quien tiraba, para hacer experimentar a los creyentes un favor venido de Él. Alá todo lo oye, todo lo sabe.

8.18.ذَلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكَافِرِينَ

8.18 . That ( is the case ) ; and ( know ) that Allah ( it is ) who maketh weak the plan of disbelievers .

8.18. Thalikum waanna Allaha moohinu kaydi alkafireena

8.18. ¡Ahí tenéis! Y que Alá hará fracasar la artimaña de los infieles.

8.19.إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَاءكُمُ الْفَتْحُ وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئاً وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

8.19 . ( O Qureysh! ) If ye sought a judgment , now hath the judgment come unto you . And if ye cease ( from persecuting the believers ) it will be better for you , but if ye return ( to the attack ) We also shall return . And your host will avail you naught , however numerous it be , and ( know ) that Allah is with the believers ( in His guidance ) .

8.19. In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumu alfathu wa-in tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-in taAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fi-atukum shay-an walaw kathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almu/mineena

8.19. " ""Si buscáis un fallo, ahí lo tenéis. Más os valdría renunciar a vuestra hostilidad. Y, si reanudáis la lucha, Nosotros también la reanudaremos y vuestras huestes no os servirán de nada, por numerosas que sean. ¡Alá está con los creyentes!"" "

8.20.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَطِيعُواْ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلاَ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ

8.20 . O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger , and turn not away from him when ye hear ( him speak ) .

8.20. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tawallaw AAanhu waantum tasmaAAoona

8.20. " ""¡Creyentes! ¡Obedeced a Alá y a Su Enviado! ¡No le volváis la espalda mientras oís...!"" "
