36.16.قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ

36.16 . They answered : Our lord knoweth that we are indeed sent unto you ,

36.16. Qaloo rabbuna yaAAlamu inna ilaykum lamursaloona

36.16. " Dijeron: ""Nuestro Señor sabe: en verdad, se nos ha enviado a vosotros, "

36.17.وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلاَّ الْبَلاَغُ الْمُبِينُ

36.17 . And our duty is but plain conveyance ( of the message ) .

36.17. Wama AAalayna illa albalaghu almubeenu

36.17. " encargados sólo de la transmisión clara"". "

36.18.قَالُوا إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

36.18 . ( The people of the city ) said : We augur ill of you . If ye desist not , we shall surely stone you , and grievous torture will befall you at our hands .

36.18. Qaloo inna tatayyarna bikum la-in lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minna AAathabun aleemun

36.18. " Dijeron: ""No presagiamos de vosotros nada bueno. Si no desistís hemos de lapidaros y haceros sufrir un castigo doloroso"". "

36.19.قَالُوا طَائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ

36.19 . They said : Your evil augury be with you! Is it because ye are reminded ( of the truth ) ? Nay , but ye are froward folk?

36.19. Qaloo ta-irukum maAAakum a-in thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona

36.19. " Dijeron: ""De vosotros depende vuestra suerte. Si os dejarais amonestar... Sí, sois gente inmoderada"". "

36.20.وَجَاء مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ

36.20 . And there came from the uttermost part of the city a man running . He cried : O my people! Follow those who have been sent!

36.20. Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena

36.20. " Entonces, de los arrabales, vino corriendo un hombre. Dijo: ""¡Pueblo! ¡Seguid a los enviados! "
