2.101.وَلَمَّا جَاءهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللّهِ وَرَاء ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ

2.101 . And when there cometh unto them a messenger from Allah , confirming that which they possess , a party of those who have received the Scripture fling the Scripture of Allah behind their backs as if they knew not ,

2.101. Walamma jaahum rasoolun min AAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahum nabatha fareequn mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba kitaba Allahi waraa thuhoorihim kaannahum la yaAAlamoona

2.101. Y, cuando viene a ellos un Enviado mandado por Alá, que confirma lo que han recibido, algunos de aquéllos a quienes se había dado la Escritura se echan la Escritura de Alá a la espalda, como si no supieran nada.

2.102.وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيْاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ

2.102 . And follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon . Solomon disbelieved not ; but the devils disbelieved , teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel , Harut and Marut . Nor did they ( the two angels ) teach it to anyone till they had said : We are only a temptation , therefore disbelieve not ( in the guidance of Allah ) . And from these two ( angels ) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife ; but they injure thereby no one save by Allah ' s leave . And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not . And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no ( happy ) portion in the Hereafter ; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls , if they but knew .

2.102. WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenu AAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanu walakinna alshshayateena kafaroo yuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wama onzila AAala almalakayni bibabila haroota wamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadin hatta yaqoola innama nahnu fitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma ma yufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreena bihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni Allahi wayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu ma lahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa ma sharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona

2.102. Han seguido lo que los demonios contaban bajo el dominio de Salomón. Salomón no dejó de creer, pero los demonios sí, enseñando a los hombres la magia y lo que se había revelado a los os ángeles, Harut y Marut, en Babel. Y éstos no enseñaban a nadie, que no dijeran que sólo eran una tentación y que, por tanto, no debía dejar de creer. Aprendieron de ellos cómo dividir a un hombre de su esposa. Y con ello no dañaban a nadie sino autorizados por Alá. Aprendieron lo que les dañaba y no les aprovechaba, sabiendo bien que quien adquiría eso no iba a tener parte en la otra vida. ¡Qué mal negocio han hecho! Si supieran...

2.103.وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُواْ واتَّقَوْا لَمَثُوبَةٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّه خَيْرٌ لَّوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ

2.103 . And if they had believed and kept from evil , a recompense from Allah would be better , if they only knew .

2.103. Walaw annahum amanoo waittaqaw lamathoobatun min AAindi Allahi khayrun law kanoo yaAAlamoona

2.103. Si hubieran creído y temido a Alá, la recompensa de Éste habría sido mejor. Si supieran...

2.104.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَقُولُواْ رَاعِنَا وَقُولُواْ انظُرْنَا وَاسْمَعُوا ْوَلِلكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

2.104 . O ye who believe , say not ( unto the Prophet ) : "Listen to us" but say "Look upon us , " and be ye listeners . For disbelievers is a painful doom .

2.104. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqooloo raAAina waqooloo onthurna waismaAAoo walilkafireena AAathabun aleemun

2.104. " ¡Creyentes! ¡No digáis: ""¡Raina!"", sino ""¡Unzurna!"" y escuchad! los infieles tendrán un castigo doloroso. "

2.105.مَّا يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَلاَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَاللّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

2.105 . Neither those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture nor the idolaters love that there should be sent down unto you any good thing from your Lord . But Allah chooseth for His mercy whom He will , and Allah is of infinite bounty .

2.105. Ma yawaddu allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi wala almushrikeena an yunazzala AAalaykum min khayrin min rabbikum waAllahu yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi

2.105. Los que no creen, tanto gente de la Escritura como asociadores, no desearían que vuestro Señor os enviara bien alguno. Pero Alá particulariza con Su misericordia a quien Él quiere. Alá es el Dueño del favor inmenso.
