98.1.لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ

98.1 . Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off ( erring ) till the clear proof came unto them ,

98.1. Lam yakuni allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi waalmushrikeena munfakkeena hatta ta/tiyahumu albayyinatu

98.1. Los que no creen, tanto gente de la Escritura como asociadores, no podían renunciar hasta que les viniera la prueba clara:

98.2.رَسُولٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو صُحُفاً مُّطَهَّرَةً

98.2 . A messenger from Allah , reading purified pages

98.2. Rasoolun mina Allahi yatloo suhufan mutahharatan

98.2. Un Enviado de Dios, que recitara hojas purificadas,

98.3.فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ

98.3 . Containing correct scriptures .

98.3. Feeha kutubun qayyimatun

98.3. que contenían Escrituras verdaderas.

98.4.وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ

98.4 . Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them .

98.4. Wama tafarraqa allatheena ootoo alkitaba illa min baAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatu

98.4. Y quienes recibieron la Escritura no se dividieron sino después de venir a ellos la prueba clara.

98.5.وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاء وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ

98.5 . And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah , keeping religion pure for Him , as men by nature upright , and to establish worship and to pay the poor due . That is true religion .

98.5. Wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena hunafaa wayuqeemoo alssalata wayu/too alzzakata wathalika deenu alqayyimati

98.5. Pero no se les ordenó sino que sirvieran a Dios, rindiéndole culto sincero comohanifes, que hicieran la azalá y dieran el azaque. Ésa es la religión verdadera.
