71.6.فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَاراً

71.6 . But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance ;

71.6. Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illa firaran

71.6. Mi llamamiento sólo ha servido para que huyan más.

71.7.وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَاراً

71.7 . And lo ! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayest pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist ( in their refusal ) and magnify themselves in pride .

71.7. Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran

71.7. Siempre que les llamo para que Tú les perdones, se ponen los dedos en los oídos, se cubren con la ropa, se obstinan y se muestran en extremo altivos.

71.8.ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَاراً

71.8 . And lo! I have called unto them aloud ,

71.8. Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jiharan

71.8. Además, les he llamado abiertamente

71.9.ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَاراً

71.9 . And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them , and I have appealed to them in private .

71.9. Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran

71.9. y les he hablado en público y en secreto.

71.10.فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّاراً

71.10 . And I have said : Seek pardon of your Lord Lo! He was ever Forgiving .

71.10. Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran

71.10. Y he dicho: '¡Pedid perdón a vuestro Señor -Que es indulgente-
