57.16.أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ

57.16 . Is not the time ripe for the hearts of those who believe to submit to Allah ' s reminder and to the truth which is revealed , that they become not as those who received the Scripture of old but the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened , and many of them are evil livers .

57.16. Alam ya/ni lillatheena amanoo an takhshaAAa quloobuhum lithikri Allahi wama nazala mina alhaqqi wala yakoonoo kaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablu fatala AAalayhimu al-amadu faqasat quloobuhum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona

57.16. ¿No es hora ya de que se humillen los corazones de los creyentes ante la Amonestación de Alá y ante la Verdad revelada y de que no sean como quienes, habiendo recibido antes la Escritura, dejaron pasar tanto tiempo que se endureció su corazón? Muchos de ellos eran unos perversos.

57.17.اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

57.17 . Know that Allah quickeneth the earth after its death . We have made clear Our revelations for you , that haply ye may understand .

57.17. IAAlamoo anna Allaha yuhyee al-arda baAAda mawtiha qad bayyanna lakumu al-ayati laAAallakum taAAqiloona

57.17. ¡Sabed que Alá vivifica la tierra después de muerta. Os hemos explicado las aleyas. Quizás, así, comprendáis.

57.18.إِنَّ الْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَالْمُصَّدِّقَاتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضاً حَسَناً يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ

57.18 . Lo! those who give alms , both men and women , and lend unto Allah a goodly loan , it will be doubled for them , and theirs will be a rich reward .

57.18. Inna almussaddiqeena waalmussaddiqati waaqradoo Allaha qardan hasanan yudaAAafu lahum walahum ajrun kareemun

57.18. A quienes den limosna, ellos y ellas, haciendo un préstamo generoso a Alá, les devolverá el doble y les recompensará generosamente.

57.19.وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيقُونَ وَالشُّهَدَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ

57.19 . And those who believe in Allah and His messengers , they are the loyal ; and the martyrs are with their Lord ; they have their reward and their light ; while as for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations , they are owners of hell fire .

57.19. Waallatheena amanoo biAllahi warusulihi ola-ika humu alssiddeeqoona waalshshuhadao AAinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanooruhum waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo bi-ayatina ola-ika as-habu aljaheemi

57.19. Los que crean en Alá y en Sus enviados serán los veraces y los testigos ante su Señor. Recibirán su recompensa y su luz. Pero quienes no crean y desmientan Nuestros signos morarán en el fuego de la gehena.

57.20.اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرّاً ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَاماً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ

57.20 . Know that the life of this world is only play , and idle talk , and pageantry , and boasting among you , and rivalry in respect of wealth and children ; as the likeness of vegetation after rain , whereof the growth is pleasing to the husbandman , but afterward it drieth up and thou seest it turning yellow then it becometh straw . And in the Hereafter there is grievous punishment , and ( also ) forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure , whereas the life of the world is but matter of illusion .

57.20. IAAlamoo annama alhayatu alddunya laAAibun walahwun wazeenatun watafakhurun baynakum watakathurun fee al-amwali waal-awladi kamathali ghaythin aAAjaba alkuffara nabatuhu thumma yaheeju fatarahu musfarran thumma yakoonu hutaman wafee al-akhirati AAathabun shadeedun wamaghfiratun mina Allahi waridwanun wama alhayatu alddunya illa mataAAu alghuroori

57.20. ¡Sabed que la vida de acá es juego, distracción y ornato, revalidad en jactancia, afán de más hacienda, de más hijos! Es como un chaparrón: la vegetación resultante alegra a los sembradores, pero luego se marchita y ves que amarillea, luego, se convierte en paja seca. En la otra vida habrá castigo severo o perdón y satisfacción de Alá, mientras que la vida de acá no es más que falaz disfrute.
