12.16.وَجَاؤُواْ أَبَاهُمْ عِشَاء يَبْكُونَ

12.16 . And they came weeping to their father in the evening .

12.16. Wajaoo abahum AAishaan yabkoona

12.16. Al anochecer regresaron a su padre, llorando.

12.17.قَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَاعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لِّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَادِقِينَ

12.17 . Saying : O our father! We went racing one with another , and left Joseph by our things , and the wolf devoured him , and thou believest not our sayings even when we speak the truth .

12.17. Qaloo ya abana inna thahabna nastabiqu watarakna yoosufa AAinda mataAAina faakalahu alththi/bu wama anta bimu/minin lana walaw kunna sadiqeena

12.17. " Dijeron: ""Padre! Fuimos a hacer carreras y dejamos a José junto a nuestras cosas. Entonces, se lo comió el lobo. No nos creerás, pero decimos la verdad"". "

12.18.وَجَآؤُوا عَلَى قَمِيصِهِ بِدَمٍ كَذِبٍ قَالَ بَلْ سَوَّلَتْ لَكُمْ أَنفُسُكُمْ أَمْراً فَصَبْرٌ جَمِيلٌ وَاللّهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ

12.18 . And they came with false blood on his shirt . He said : Nay , but your minds have beguiled you into something . ( My course is ) comely patience . And Allah it is whose help is to be sought in that ( predicament ) which ye describe .

12.18. Wajaoo AAala qameesihi bidamin kathibin qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukum amran fasabrun jameelun waAllahu almustaAAanu AAala ma tasifoona

12.18. " Y presentaron su camisa manchada de sangre falsa. Dijo: ""¡No! Vuestra imaginación os ha sugerido esto. ¡Hay que tener digna paciencia! Alá es Aquél Cuya ayuda se implora contra lo que contáis"". "

12.19.وَجَاءتْ سَيَّارَةٌ فَأَرْسَلُواْ وَارِدَهُمْ فَأَدْلَى دَلْوَهُ قَالَ يَا بُشْرَى هَـذَا غُلاَمٌ وَأَسَرُّوهُ بِضَاعَةً وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ

12.19 . And there came a caravan , and they sent their water- drawer . He let down his pail ( into the pit ) . He said : Good luck! Here is a youth . And they hid him as a treasure , and Allah was Aware of what they did .

12.19. Wajaat sayyaratun faarsaloo waridahum faadla dalwahu qala ya bushra hatha ghulamun waasarroohu bidaAAatan waAllahu AAaleemun bima yaAAmaloona

12.19. " Llegaron unos viajeros y enviaron a su aguador, que bajó el cubo. Dijo: ""¡Buena noticia! ¡Hay aquí un muchacho!"" Y lo ocultaron con ánimo de venderlo. Pero Alá sabía bien lo que hacían. "

12.20.وَشَرَوْهُ بِثَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ دَرَاهِمَ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَكَانُواْ فِيهِ مِنَ الزَّاهِدِينَ

12.20 . And they sold him for a low price , a number of silver coins ; and they attached no value to him .

12.20. Washarawhu bithamanin bakhsin darahima maAAdoodatin wakanoo feehi mina alzzahideena

12.20. Y lo malvendieron por contados dirhemes, subestimándolo.
