Italian police arrested on Friday, July 11, four young women at Milan’s Malpensa Airport for attempting to prevent the repatriation of a Moroccan national aboard a Royal Air Maroc flight to Casablanca.

The activists, identified as members of the Milanese anarchist movement, were intercepted near the airline’s check-in counters while distributing flyers urging passengers to protest the deportation.

According to authorities, the group had coordinated the action via social media. The operation was thwarted by DIGOS agents, and all four women received three-year expulsion orders from the province of Varese.
