A major construction project is underway in Casablanca to ease traffic between the Hay Hassani district and the commune of Dar Bouazza. The work began at the Sidi El Khadir intersection and covers an initial 4.5-kilometer stretch that will connect this densely populated area to the southern bypass, before extending toward Nouaceur via the Oulad Azzouz road.
Designed as an alternative to existing routes, this new road runs parallel to the Azemmour road and aims to relieve congestion in a heavily trafficked area. Once completed, the connection will span nearly 10 kilometers. The first phase, with a budget of 100 million dirhams, is expected to be finalized by October 2025.
The project is the result of collaboration between several administrative bodies, including the Casablanca commune, the Hay Hassani district, and the Nouaceur province. It is part of a broader plan to reorganize the city’s road network, as reported by Le360.
