Catania, the historic port city on Italy’s eastern coast, now has a direct air link to Morocco. On Saturday, Catania Airport inaugurated a new route to Casablanca, operated by Royal Air Maroc with two weekly flights.
The launch was celebrated with a welcome ceremony attended by airline and airport officials, as well as the Moroccan Consul.
The new connection is expected to strengthen tourism and economic ties between Sicily and Morocco, reinforcing Catania’s role as a key hub in the Mediterranean.
