The Agadir Primary Court has sentenced an individual to one month in prison and a fine of 10,000 dirhams for vandalizing newly installed public benches near the Laazib roundabout, according to Assabah newspaper.
The ruling followed the circulation of a video on social media showing the man destroying metal benches that had recently been installed as part of a project to enhance public spaces in the city.
Security authorities were able to identify and arrest the suspect before he was brought before the public prosecutor, who charged him with damaging public property.
