With Eid al-Adha on a weekend, Morocco declares Monday, June 9, a public holiday

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, which will be celebrated on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Morocco, the government has announced an exceptional public holiday on Monday, June 9, 2025. Normally, Eid al-Adha is observed as a two-day holiday, but this year it falls on a weekend.

According to a statement, this measure applies to state administrations and local authorities. This decision is based on Article 3 of Decree No. 2.05.916 of July 20, 2005, as amended and supplemented.
