A mixed general assembly is scheduled to bring together the shareholders of Maroc Telecom (IAM), who have been convened for this purpose on June 18. One of the key items on the agenda is the planned transformation of the operator’s governance structure, with Maroc Telecom expected to adopt the status of a public limited company with a board of directors.

If implemented, this new governance model would strengthen the board of directors' role in the decision-making process—offering greater flexibility while reinforcing legal accountability. The board would be responsible for reviewing strategic directions and overseeing their execution.

Since its establishment in 1998, Maroc Telecom has operated as a public limited company governed by an executive board and a supervisory board.
