Eight people have died and more than twenty others were injured, several critically, in an accident that occurred this Wednesday on National road No. 1 between Essaouira and Agadir. The eighth victim succumbed to their injuries during hospital transfer. The tragedy took place in the Tamanar area after a bus overturned and collided with a smaller vehicle.
In the region, the Royal Gendarmerie, Civil Protection, the Ministry of Health delegation, and the medical staff of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Hospital in Essaouira were mobilized to care for the injured, while the bodies were transported to the morgue. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances of the accident.
