Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, currently playing for French club Paris Saint-Germain, has taken a significant step off the pitch by purchasing E.F. Ciudad de Getafe, the Spanish club where he began his football journey before joining Real Madrid’s academy.
The news was revealed by his agent, Alejandro Gustavo Camano, during an appearance on a Cadena COPE radio program, following last week’s UEFA Champions League semi-final between PSG and Arsenal, which saw the Parisian club advance to the final.
This move comes just months after Hakimi’s close friend Kylian Mbappé, now a Real Madrid player, acquired a majority stake in Stade Malherbe Caen. It reflects a growing trend among modern football stars showing interest in sports management and club ownership.
