The decision by Pierre Corneille School in Casablanca to bar elementary students from attending class for not wearing the school uniform has sparked widespread anger among parents. Many say the school initially presented the uniform as optional at the start of the school year, priced at 1,600 dirhams for the full set—an amount that was later increased to 1,900 dirhams. Due to some families' hesitation over the uniform policy, the administration reportedly denied their children entry to class—an approach parents have criticized as inappropriate, especially for such young students, according to the Alyoum 24 news website.

Parents also expressed frustration with how the school has handled the matter, pointing out that they were told extracurricular activities like theater and robotics were included in the monthly tuition. However, they were later asked to pay extra fees for those lessons.

Many families feel the school is displaying unacceptable greed, accusing it of repeatedly imposing additional costs without prior notice or clear explanation.
