4.16.وَاللَّذَانَ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُواْ عَنْهُمَا إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ تَوَّاباً رَّحِيماً

4.16 . And as for the two of you who are guilty thereof , punish them both . And if they repent and improve , then let them be . Lo! Allah is Relenting , Merciful .

4.16. Waallathani ya/tiyaniha minkum faathoohuma fa-in taba waaslaha faaAAridoo AAanhuma inna Allaha kana tawwaban raheeman

4.16. Si dos de los vuestros la cometen, castigad a ambos severamente. Pero, si se arrepienten y enmiendan, dejadles en paz. Alá es indulgente, misericordioso.

4.17.إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللّهِ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السُّوَءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُونَ مِن قَرِيبٍ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ يَتُوبُ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيماً حَكِيماً

4.17 . Forgiveness is only incumbent on Allah toward those who do evil in ignorance ( and ) then turn quickly ( in repentance ) to Allah . These are they toward whom Allah relenteth . Allah is ever Knower , Wise .

4.17. Innama alttawbatu AAala Allahi lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssoo-a bijahalatin thumma yatooboona min qareebin faola-ika yatoobu Allahu AAalayhim wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman

4.17. Alá perdona sólo a quienes cometen el mal por ignorancia y se arrepienten en seguida. A éstos se vuelve Alá. Alá es omnisciente, sabio.

4.18.وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الآنَ وَلاَ الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَـئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَاباً أَلِيماً

4.18 . The forgiveness is not for those who do ill deeds until , when death attendeth upon one of them , he saith : Lo! I repent now ; nor yet for those who die while they are disbelievers . For such We have prepared a painful doom .

4.18. Walaysati alttawbatu lillatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyi-ati hatta itha hadara ahadahumu almawtu qala innee tubtu al-ana wala allatheena yamootoona wahum kuffarun ola-ika aAAtadna lahum AAathaban aleeman

4.18. " Que no espere perdón quien sigue obrando mal hasta que, en el artículo de la muerte, dice: ""Ahora me arrepiento"". Ni tampoco quienes mueren siendo infieles. A éstos les hemos preparado un castigo doloroso. "

4.19.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُواْ النِّسَاء كَرْهاً وَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئاً وَيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ فِيهِ خَيْراً كَثِيراً

4.19 . O ye who believe! It is not lawful for you forcibly to inherit the women ( of your deceased kinsmen ) , nor ( that ) ye should put constraint upon them that ye may take away a part of that which ye have given them , unless they be guilty of flagrant lewdness . But consort with them in kindness , for if ye hate them it may happen that ye hate a thing wherein Allah hath placed much good .

4.19. Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaa karhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboo bibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa an ya/teena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunna bialmaAAroofi fa-in karihtumoohunna faAAasa an takrahoo shay-an wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran

4.19. ¡Creyentes! No es lícito recibir en herencia a mujeres contra su voluntad, ni impedirles que vuelvan a casarse para quitarles parte de lo que les habíais dado, a menos que sean culpables de deshonestidad manifiesta. Comportaos con ellas como es debido. Y si os resultan antipáticas, puede que Alá haya puesto mucho bien en el objeto de vuestra antipatía.

4.20.وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ وَآتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنطَاراً فَلاَ تَأْخُذُواْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَاناً وَإِثْماً مُّبِيناً

4.20 . And if ye wish to exchange one wife for another and ye have given unto one of them a sum of money ( however great ) , take nothing from it . Would ye take it by the way of calumny and open wrong?

4.20. Wa-in aradtumu istibdala zawjin makana zawjin waataytum ihdahunna qintaran fala ta/khuthoo minhu shay-an ata/khuthoonahu buhtanan wa-ithman mubeenan

4.20. Y si queréis cambiar de esposa y le habíais dado a una de ellas un quintal, no volváis a tomar nada de él. ¿Ibáis a tomarlo con infamia y pecado manifiesto?
