12.31.فَلَمَّا سَمِعَتْ بِمَكْرِهِنَّ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَعْتَدَتْ لَهُنَّ مُتَّكَأً وَآتَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِّنْهُنَّ سِكِّيناً وَقَالَتِ اخْرُجْ عَلَيْهِنَّ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَهُ أَكْبَرْنَهُ وَقَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ وَقُلْنَ حَاشَ لِلّهِ مَا هَـذَا بَشَراً إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ

12.31 . And when she heard of their sly talk , she sent to them and prepared fur them a cushioned couch ( to lie on at the feast ) and gave to every one of them a knife and said ( to Joseph ) : Come out unto them! And when they saw him they exalted him and cut their bands , exclaiming : Allah Blameless! This is not a human being . This is no other than some gracious angel .

12.31. Falamma samiAAat bimakrihinna arsalat ilayhinna waaAAtadat lahunna muttakaan waatat kulla wahidatin minhunna sikkeenan waqalati okhruj AAalayhinna falamma raaynahu akbarnahu waqattaAAna aydiyahunna waqulna hasha lillahi ma hatha basharan in hatha illa malakun kareemun

12.31. " Cuando ella oyó sus murmuraciones, envió a por ellas y les preparó un banquete, dando a cada una de ellas un cuchillo. Y dijo que saliera adonde ellas estaban. Cuando las mujeres le vieron, le encontraron tan bien parecido que se hicieron cortes en las manos y dijeron: ""¡Santo Alá! ¡Éste no es un mortal, éste no es sino un ángel maravilloso!"" "

12.32.قَالَتْ فَذَلِكُنَّ الَّذِي لُمْتُنَّنِي فِيهِ وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدتُّهُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ فَاسَتَعْصَمَ وَلَئِن لَّمْ يَفْعَلْ مَا آمُرُهُ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُوناً مِّنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ

12.32 . She said : This is he on whose account ye blamed me . I asked of him an evil act , but he proved continent , but if he do not my behest he verily shall be imprisoned , and verily shall him of those brought low .

12.32. Qalat fathalikunna allathee lumtunnanee feehi walaqad rawadtuhu AAan nafsihi faistAAsama wala-in lam yafAAal ma amuruhu layusjananna walayakoonan mina alssaghireena

12.32. " Dijo ella: ""Ahí tenéis a aquél por quien me habéis censurado y a quien yo he solicitado, pero él ha permanecido firme. Ahora bien, si no hace lo que yo le ordeno, ha de ser encarcelado y será, ciertamente, de los despreciables"". "

12.33.قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ

12.33 . He said : O my Lord! Prison is more dear than that unto which they urge me , and if Thou fend not off their wiles from me I shall incline unto them and become of the foolish .

12.33. Qala rabbi alssijnu ahabbu ilayya mimma yadAAoonanee ilayhi wa-illa tasrif AAannee kaydahunna asbu ilayhinna waakun mina aljahileena

12.33. " Dijo él: ""¡Señor! Prefiero la cárcel a acceder a lo que ellas me piden. Pero, si no apartas de mí su astucia, cederé a ellas y seré de los ignorantes"". "

12.34.فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُ كَيْدَهُنَّ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

12.34 . So his Lord heard his prayer and fended off their wiles from him . Lo! He is Nearer , Knower .

12.34. Faistajaba lahu rabbuhu fasarafa AAanhu kaydahunna innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu

12.34. Su Señor le escuchó y apartó de él su astucia. Él es Quien todo lo oye, Quien todo lo sabe.

12.35.ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا رَأَوُاْ الآيَاتِ لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُ حَتَّى حِينٍ

12.35 . And it seemed good to them ( the men folk ) after they had seen the signs ( of his innocence ) to imprison him for a time .

12.35. Thumma bada lahum min baAAdi ma raawoo al-ayati layasjununnahu hatta heenin

12.35. Más tarde, a pesar de haber visto los a signos, les pareció que debían encarcelarle por algún tiempo.
